Give your views on designs for Bristol Arena

The Bristol Arena project takes another step forward today as five exciting shortlisted designs are revealed following a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) International Design Competition.

Where can I find the designs?

You can see the five design proposals and give your comments at the RIBA Competition website. You may also be interested to visit the RIBA exhibition truck displaying the designs.  You can view the designs in the following locations over the next couple of weeks:

  • Thursday 29 January - Portwall Lane, Temple Gate, Bristol (Close to 100 Temple Street) 8am - 6pm
  • Friday 30 January - Sainsbury’s, Castle Court Brislington, Bristol 10am - 6pm
  • Saturday 31 January - Broadmead shopping area, Bristol 9.30am - 5.30pm
  • From Tuesday 3 - Wednesday 11 February (except Monday) the designs will be on display in the foyer at M Shed

How will my feedback be used?

Your comments will be considered by the competition panel when it meets at the end of February to evaluate all aspects of the proposals. The successful design team will need to demonstrate that the building is inspiring, innovative and sustainable and offers a vibrant experience. It will also need to work effectively and flexibly as a venue and importantly be deliverable and affordable. A successful design team will be announced in March.
