Over the Christmas period one of the main eyesores in the Enterprise Zone was removed from Bristol Temple Meads. The metal structure bridging all platforms at the station was built in the 1970s to convey Royal Mail parcels from trains to the adjacent sorting office on Cattlemarket Road.
Since the closure of the sorting office in the 1990s this unsightly steel construction has been redundant. The removal of the bridge improves the visual setting of the Grade I Listed station and is a…Continue
