We've added a new layer to Know Your Place. It comes courtesy of English Heritage from their collection of RAF aerial photographs. There are thousands of these images in their collections and we have tried to create a single layer from one RAF flight in 1946.

National Design Network Launched

Launched in December 2012, The Design Network links eight existing not-for-profit organisations providing design review, design support, training, community engagement and place-based economic development services throughout England (outside London).

STBA publishes report on Responsible Retrofit of Traditional Buildings

Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance (STBA) published its report “Responsible Retrofit of Traditional Buildings” in September 2012.
