Which of the following best describe you ? (You can select more than one)
Community, Built environment professional

I work in the City Design Group at Bristol City Council, as a project support and communications officer.  I was part of the project team that supported the Lockleaze Community to produce the Community's Vision for Lockleaze.  This is a vision document which promotes an integrated approach to creating a sustainable community.  Endorsed by the council, Central Government have now awarded Lockleaze Neighbourhood “Front Runner” status.

I've also been supporting the development of the Knowle West Regeneration Framework - a regeneration plan for Knowle West.  This a project that is run by the Major Projects department within the council.

I have been involved in a number of community engagement events to help develop the Knowle West Regeneration Framework.   Including engaging with local people at an exhibition at the Filwood Funday in September 2009, organised by consultants Urban Initiatives.  This event was called the Knowle West Futures Exhibtion.  We explained the Knowle West objectives and vision to local people, and tested its support with them.  The information gained was then used to help shape the work taken to the next stages of consultation.  The Knowle West media centre also ran a "video both" - so local people got to have their say on they thought about the future of Knowle West.  Have a look at the video footgage from this event.
